SCHOOL DRESS/UNIFORM
The Governing Body has approved, as school policy, that all children who attend the school will conform to our school dress/uniform code.
We believe that our school dress code is important for several reasons: - school dress/uniform gives all children a sense of belonging to our school community. - school dress/uniform helps children to develop a real sense of pride in their school. - school dress/uniform gives a sense of unity. - school dress/uniform is practical and sensible for a child's daily work in school. - school dress/uniform is smart. - school dress/uniform removes pressure from parents to buy expensive 'fashion' items for school.
To allow for individual preferences, we have built in as much choice and variety as possible. Please contact the school at any time and we will be pleased to help with any matters concerning our uniform. We keep many items in stock and can easily order items for you.
GIRLS Red sweatshirt, jumper, cardigan. White blouse. Grey skirt, pinafore, grey trousers. Summer dress in red/white checked or striped.
BOYS Red sweatshirt, jumper, cardigan. White shirt. Grey trousers or grey shorts. Red ties (elasticated or ordinary) are available for use by girls and boys.
For indoor PE: All children require either white shorts and red T shirt or red leotard. These are available from school.
For outdoor PE/Games: All children require shorts or PE skirt, track suit or warm clothing suitable for outdoor games. A change of footwear is recommended so that, even in wet weather activities outside may be able to go ahead.
For swimming: All children will need a swimming costume or trunks and a towel.
For indoor use, all Key Stage 2 children require a pair of sensible shoes or slippers (not large fancy disabledscript=2>please).
For hygiene and safety reasons, all children require a PE/Games kit to change into.
PE/Games and Swimming lessons are part of the curriculum and are undertaken by all children unless the parent/guardian supplies a note outlining the medical reasons why a child cannot be involved.
All children work barefoot in the hall during PE lessons unless they have a foot infection. In these cases children should wear plimsolls or pumps.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING ARE CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME.
