ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The school believes that there are experiences outside the classroom which are very valuable and endeavours to create opportunities for children, at various times, to take part in visits to places which can offer unique learning opportunities. Your child's class teacher will inform you in advance of any visits which involve your child.

Pupils in Year Four have the opportunity to go for a residential experience at Robin Hood's Bay, near Whitby. The children go for a weekend.

Pupils in Year Six and when places allow, in Year Five, have the opportunity to go for a five day residential visit to a centre called Low Mill, based in Askrigg in Wensleydale.

Opportunities exist for children in different age groups to become involved with the school choir, recorder groups, gardening, and sporting clubs such as netball, gymnastics and football. These activities take place out of school hours and are offered subject to the availability of staff.
