The elections have taken place for this years school councillors - well done to those pupils who have been elected and to all children who nominated themselves or were nominated by others:

School Council Meeting

6th October 2005

Minutes

1 – Apologies sent from Mr Whaley.

2- All new members were welcomed by Miss Devey and introduced to each other.

3 – Miss Devey issued each member with a school council guide.

4 – Appointment of Chair Person.

     Grace, Adam, Eleanor and

     Emma  put themselves forward for nomination.

     Adam and Emma were voted in as joint Chair.

5 – Appointment of Secretary.

      Ashley, Grace, Alistair and

     Becky put themselves forward for nomination. 

     Ashley and Becky were voted in as secretaries.

6 – A photograph was taken of the school council

     members.

7 – Miss Devey gave an update from the recycling

     project. Selby Council have agreed to collect  

     recycled paper. They have provided bins for each 

     classroom. Mr Whaley is arranging the delivery of

    the large bins that will collect the waste paper.

8 – Miss Devey suggested that the classroom bins will

     need clearly labelling. She asked for volunteers

    from the group to help make them. It was decided

     that all children would like to help. There will be a 

     school council session on Thursday 20th October in

     the ICT suite to make these.


 

 

RECYCLING BINS HAVE ARRIVED IN CLASSES- Councillors to ensure information is cascaded. Let's make Sherburn Hungate GREEN!!
