Mrs Coates Class 2008 -2009
Our visit to Clarke Hall was a great success! Thanks to those who worked in the kitchen and turned the spit, we ate well!
We helped Chantry prepare the house for visitors - we made beds..... polished the pewter........ we wrote remedies.......... we did some Black Work embroidery.
We went home very tired!!
We dressed as Tudors for our Harvest Festival.
Did you know that the Tudors ate marzipan sweets? Did you know that rich Tudors did not eat many vegetables? And that bread was eaten at every meal!
Mrs Coates Class 2007-2008
We had a great day out in York - looking for Vikings!
We visited the Jorvik Museum and The Dig where we pretended to be archaeologist.

During Writer's Week we made pop-up Books for the Nursery children.

These are the photos from the visit by Jefficus the Roman Soldier on Thursday 4th October.
He gave a talk in character to the Year 3 and Year 4 children and let them try on/use all of his armour and weaponry. They absolutely loved it!

We made Santa Hats in Design Technology - don't they look great?

We visited Edam Camp and had a terrific time!
