Welcome to Year 5- 2007

We have been very busy this term. We have really enjoyed our visit to the West Yorkshire Playhouse to see the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. We wrote reviews of the play inside these wardrobes

In outdoor games we have been lucky enough to have coaching sessions in basketball and rugby.

In Art, we have studied LS Lowry. here is some of our work:

We had a visit from Eureka! Museum who ran a Forces Workshop for us. We had to get really involved.

River Study

In the Autumn Term our topic was 'Rivers and Landscape'

We visited Bramham Beck to carry out a River Study. We really enjoyed ourselves, even though we got wet!

Our P.E. Unit was RUGBY. We were very lucky to be coached by

LEEDS TYKES.

We all learnt a lot from Gareth.

We were very busy before Christmas making our 'Moving Toys' in Design Technology.

Here are some ....

We had a super day recently building structures. We started with wood and elastic bands and made small tetrehedrons.

We went outside and began to fix these together into bigger tetrahedrons.

And ended up with this!

We enjoyed Arts Week. A storyteller visited school and told us stories from India. We tried clothes on to go with the stories.

We also played musical instruments from Thiland called Angklung.

And kept dancing...
